Some of the new technologies that are available are first applied to forklift trucks and after that proven further through functionality and durability testing. The company performs many controlled field tests and reliability development in order to ensure their products are very safe.
Some of Yale's innovative designs and technology which has been integrated as standard features for their fleet so as to improve overall safety comprise the following:
Operator Compartment Ergonomics and Controls
The ergonomics within the operator compartment as well as the controls are made with state-of-the-art technology. These designs help to ensure that the operator avoids fatigue and heavy repetitive motions. These added comforts help to increase overall productivity.
Adjustable Operators Controls and Compartment
Adjustable operator controls enable the operators to choose the positioning of their necessary controls. This helps make the equipment user friendly, regardless of who is operating it. Before beginning their shift, the operator could make certain he or she is as comfortable as possible.
Operator Presence System
The Operator Presence System prevents the hydraulic system operation from being used if the operator is not in the right operating position. This presence system also disables directional travel on trucks which have IC engines.
Swing-Out LPG Tank Bracket
The LPG tank has a drop down design that brings it out from the vehicle's center to the operator's natural handling position that makes it far easier to change.
